We use mid-market (interbank) reference rates derived from European Central Bank data, as of 2026-06-13. This is the wholesale midpoint between buy and sell prices — the fairest single number to quote. Retail banks and transfer services add a margin on top.

Is the converter free and private?

Yes. It is completely free, requires no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser — your amounts are never sent to a server.

Will I actually get the mid-market rate when I send money?

Usually not exactly. Providers apply a spread to the mid-market rate and may charge a fee, so the effective rate is typically 0.5%–5% worse. Compare the total amount received, not the headline fee.
